Do I need a card for the free trial?
Yes. A valid card is required and Stripe checks it when you sign up. Nothing is charged today. Your plan starts on day 31 and bills monthly.
How do I cancel?
Any time. During the trial, cancel before day 31 and you pay nothing. After that, open Billing in your client portal (Manage billing takes you to Stripe's secure billing page) or call us at (833) 331-1287.
Is there a contract or a setup fee?
No contract and no setup fee. Papos is month to month, and you can export your data whenever you want.
Can you move my data from my current system?
Yes, free on every plan. We move clients, visit history, services, prices, barbers and memberships, check the numbers with you, then switch on a slow day. See free data transfer.
What hardware do I need?
The register runs on an iPad, and your team uses the app on their own phones. Stripe card readers are matched to your setup when we onboard you.
How do payments work, and what are the card rates?
Card payments run through Stripe at Stripe's standard US rates, the same on every plan: 2.7% + 5¢ in person with a card reader, 2.9% + 30¢ online and in the app, and 1.5% more for international cards. Tap to Pay on iPhone, when it arrives, adds 10¢ per charge. No extra Papos fee on top.
Can I pay yearly?
Yes. Annual billing gives you 2 months free: you pay for 10 months and get 12. Shop, for example, is $790 a year per location, which works out to $65.83 a month. The 30-day free trial works the same way, and nothing is charged today.
Do you support Spanish?
Sí. We are a Florida-based company, and we set up, train and support your shop in English or Spanish. Sunny answers calls in both. Lee esta página en español.
Can I use a promo code?
Yes. On the sign-up page tap Have a code?, type it and tap Apply. Stripe checks the code and your price updates before you pay. Some codes make the plan free, and then no card is needed.
Can I pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Yes. Checkout runs on Stripe, and Apple Pay or Google Pay show up when your phone or browser supports them. You can always pay with a card.
Is there a charge per barber?
No. Solo covers one barber. Shop, Brand and Enterprise are priced per location with any number of barbers.
What if I have 15 or more locations?
That is Enterprise: one deal for the whole chain at $165 per location for 15 to 49, $140 for 50 to 74 and $115 for 75 or more. Only live locations are billed. Talk to us.
